Before the audit starts, your team should be able to answer yes to most of the questions below. If too many answers are unclear, you likely need a preparation review before moving forward.

Documentation

Are policies, procedures, hazard assessments, inspections, training records, incident records, and corrective actions current and easy to retrieve?

Interviews

Can workers and supervisors explain how hazards are identified, incidents are reported, and corrective actions are followed up?

Can leadership explain roles, responsibilities, review practices, and how safety performance is monitored?
